Our hearts and prayers go out to William and Harry and to other members of Diana's family who will miss her so. Truly Diana was a warm and caring individual. Her untimely death brought sorrow and tears to our home as though a member of the family had passed away. May God be with those who grieve her loss.

please add this to diana , princess of wales , memorial page: although i never met princess diana personally if i only had one wish it would be to show her todays top headlines yesterday so that this tragic accident would have never happened. so that she could have stayed home last night and enjoyed the gift of life. but , since i can not have that wish then i wish the family and friends of diana peace and that even though she is gone she is not forgotten. we can all find comfort and shelter in our memories of this wonderful woman. the most beautiful things in the world are not seen or touched they are felt by the heart...

What a horrible accident which shook the world at large. Diana is loved by all human beings in the world. She lived for others and what a very sad end at last.

Truely the media mania killed her at last. Media is completely and fully responsible for this tragic death. Western media should know the limits of someone's private life. Those who are responsible for this incident should be executed so that other media personnel will learn a bitter lesson.

Our deepest sympathies for Prince William and Prince Harry and the families of those who died.

My deepest sympathies go out to Prince William and Prince Harry on the loss of their Mother. I also send condolences to the people of England.

The world has lost a beautiful soul Sunday. I live in Los Angeles, CA, USA and became very sad upon the news. It feels like the light of hope has been put out. Diana represented more than Royalty, she was faith in goodness.

God rest her soul.

I am deeply saddened by the death of the great Princess of Wales and thouroughly disgusted with the neverending stalkarazzi that ultimately ended the life of a great woman. She was a candle lighting up the darkness of pain and despair throughout the world. This life and light has been snuffed out. i was so shocked at the news of diana's death, am still in a daze. she was such a shining bright light, for the whole world. not only beautiful but so generous of spirit and heart. she was also a wonderful mother, i feel so badly for the princes, william and harry. she was the best ambassador for england, and was at the prime of her life. i am sure had she lived she would have done many wonderful things, it is SUCH A LOSS!!!!! all i can think is that heaven needed a new angel, and she qualified.

My wife and I are very saddened by the news. Diana was a saint in our time. She was fearless and undaunting in her support of those who were powerless and voiceless in their suffering. The world sends it's deepest condolences to William and Harry in their most personal loss -we wish to add our voices and prayers for them.

Most heartfelt condolences from an ordinary Gujerati family in Nairobi, Kenya on the tragic demise of Princess Diana. She touched the hearts of people all over the world, of all castes and creed. The photographers chasing the car should not go unpunished as they created this senseless tragedy. Our hearts go out to Prince William and Prince Harry as they were surely the bright light in the Princess' life. In spite of being a Royal, having immense wealth, glamour and beauty, she was often sad.

The whole world is saddened and grieved by the death of Princess Diana. I feel like I have lost a friend. She was such a wonderful role model,a first class lady, mother and humanitarian. My prayers are for her children, whose lives will never be the same. She was their greatest link to some sort of "normal" life outside the royal confines. Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts on such a sad day.

I can not express in words what I am feeling on this day. I can only say that I am shocked and sad to hear of the death of our favorite Princess. I say "Our Princess", because Princess Diana was the "People's Princess". She devoted her time to all of the people who were in need. My condolences go out to her Sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. May she rest in Peace.

In my driveway this morning, I picked up the Sunday Chicago Tribune and had to read the top story headline more than twice before a connection back to reality occured. It was disturbing how the grey plastic bag holding the paper clouded the news of Princess Diana's death. It's a harsh flash to reality. She will be missed and this day will be etched to memory much as is November 22nd, 1963 for many Americans. Here on the web (where people's hearts are already pouring out) and everywhere, August 31st will always be the day Britain's kind and gentle Diana died. It's strangely wonderful to read people's thoughts from throughout the world in this moment of sadness.

Today is a day that will be long remembered as the end of an era. We not only have lost a truly wonderful woman and humanitarian in the Princess, but we have also lost a legend--someone who inspired us all with that very special 'common touch' she was so noted for.

Princess Diana did more than champion causes for charity and perform her duties as Princess of Wales with grace, charisma, style and sincerity. She humanized the Royal Family to many Americans, such as myself, who are not often privy to the every day workings of British Royality. She touched on something in every American's heart that made us respect and love her--her humanity. It was the first time ever since the Revolution, that a British Royal Family member was revered in the hearts of the American public. Yes, it is true that in the USA, we are all taken by the cerimony, tradition and style of British Royality. However, we often watch from a distance, not able to understand or appreciate fully the meaning of such a position. Diana helped to bridge that gap, as she has done so well in many other areas, from the very first moment we glimpsed her as she walked down the asile in St. Pauls Cathedral 16 years ago. It was then that she captured our hearts as the shy and dutiful woman, who was so devoted to her husband, her Queen, her family and her coutry. Though the following years proved challenging to Diana, she never lost her identification with the common man and indeed, showed us through her own trials that being Royality was nothing more or less than being human. This was her appeal, this was her charm, this is what made Diana special.

I speak on behalf of myself and the American public when I say that Diana will be very missed and remembered in the same fashion and with the same fondness as we have remembered such American heroins as Jackie Onasis-Kennedy and Princess Grace of Monoco. We bid you a very sad farewell, Diana, and our hearts and prayers go out to the Royal Family, the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth. Diana, you truly were a 'Queen of the people's hearts.'

Most Sincerely,
Jason Fulp

My sincere sympathy and prayers go to all of Britain who have lost a special lady. Diana was everyone's friend, and I am personally saddened by this senseless loss. The press, hopefully, will step back from the relentless hounding of every public figure.

I was a small child when I watched the fairy tale wedding. I've been a bystander, watching from the States on tv. And now, to watch her death, it truly tears a part of my soul, as I am sure a part of the world's soul, as this wonderful woman has been taken from us.

My deepest sympathies to the royal family, and all the families who have suffered a great loss from this needless and senseless tragedy. May God give the Royal Family the strength and grace of His love during their time of need.

Let us not dwell so much on her death, but her life. Let the lessons she taught us not go forgotten. Diana lives in each of us in our ability to bring peace, beauty and love to the world. Let us all remember Diana not in mere sorrow, but by devoting if nothing but a fraction of our time to charitable and beautiful acts to help make the world a better place.

Rest in peace in Heaven above, sweet lady of charity, beauty and grace.

I feel very sad for the death of the Princess. This this the end of the one most real famous novel. This is like a horrible dream. She really was the Princess of the people of this century. She was charming, nice and beautiful. Williams and Harry lost a mother but this world lost her Princess.

Thanks
Yours sincerely

I give my deepest condolences to the late Princess' family. Even though it was not her time to leave the earth, she should be much happier where she is out of the lime light and away from harrassing acts. But not out of our memories. She was THE TRUE QUEEN. Our Queen of Hearts.

It is truly a remarkable individual that can touch so many lives so deeply without ever even meeting the vast majority of them. Diana encompassed a grace that only a rare few women posses. Her passing will leave a large whole in the world. I am truly sorry for her sons and her family as they will feel this loss the most. As for the press, I hope that they will allow the family the privacy needed in this terrible terrible time. I only wish that I could have known her, I only hope to be thought of as kindly.

I would like first to express my deepest sympathy to the son's of Princess Diana , and her family . Gone is a woman that helped change the world , she was a mentor for many . Finally in the last few weeks of her life she seemed to be getting the compassion and devotion she so deserved , and that only to be taken away from her by the paparazzi , with whom she begged to be left alone . Many have been saying how she had a love/hate relationship with the press and that she used them to her advantage , and yes she did this but why not, all of this was done in a positive way , the way the press should report not the ugly way off constantyly being in her private life, now she will be left alone , no more pictures , no more press running after her,no more sorrow

Sadly you will be missed

It is with a heavy and saddened heart that I share in the grief of the world over the loss of Diana, Princess of Wales. The world lost a great figure of peace, charity, and dignity. I think it will be in years to come when we fully appreciate the mark that Diana made on the world. Long may we honor her memory, and may God keep her.

I was one of those people who read every news article I found, bought all the books, and kept track of her developments, with an unfailing curiosity. I remember when I was eleven years old (1981), waking up at 6 a.m. to watch the royal wedding. How magical it all was! Ever since Diana hit the scene we have all been fascinated with her every move. It is ultimately that fascination that we have with her that brought her end. Believe me when I say, I never wanted to know about her badly enough to bring about something like this. Indeed, I would have been contented with much less coverage, if only it meant that she would not have suffered so. I hope her death is not in vain. Let us learn the lesson. This media frenzy is TOTALLY out of hand.
As an American citizen I have always felt a special bond to my English heritage. I have always felt that the Royal Family was part of my heritage and feel a deep loss with the death of Princess Diana. My deepest sympathy to Prince William and Prince Harry. I would like to express my deepest regret for the untimely death of the most garcious and loving woman of our time. No more compassionate and truly royal lady has graced our lives since Princess Grace of Monaco. The best wishes of the people of the world go out to Prince William and Prince Harry, the family of the late princess, the Royal Family, and the people of the United Kingdom. What a tragedy-to finally find hapiness and have it snuffed out by something so senseless. I admire her courage and strength and mourn her passing.
I am greatly saddened that this world has lost the most classiest woman ever to be named princess. She was the most beautiful woman ever and to have her life taken in her prime is a terrible unjustice. My heart goes out to her children. She will always be remembered. We love you Diana

Diana,
All decent people loved you for what you were, for what you were able to achieve and for what you could have done for hundreds of innocent sufferers in the future - a future for hundreds now wiped out by the media.

Britain has lost its best ambassador and sadly the Royal Family its one chance to come to terms with the modern era - at least for the moment.

May our future King William and his brother, Prince Harry never forget or let others forget who their mother was - a Queen in her own right or what hope she brought to others despite her own problems.

May she rest in peace

WE will not forget

Condolences from me, Robert Willcox, and my wife Marie. At the very moment she had found someone to look after her, she was killed. Who will champion humanity with the same vigour and effectiveness now that she has gone? She is irreplaceable.

To cope with intrusion into privacy, is it possible to copywrite one's image and then sue anyone who uses it without permission for breach of copywrite?

One more Unfortunate,
Weary of breath,
Rashly importunate
Gone to her death!
Take her up tenderly,
Lift her with care;
Fashioned so slenderly,
Young, and so fair

I'm fourteen and I can't imagine the feeling of loosing your mother. It must be very devastating to her sons. A feeling of lonlyness, emptyness, and numbness. How far do we let things go in this world? Do we all of the sudden realize after a tragidy that something has to be done? It shouldn't be like that. Things should be done to prevent things, like Princess Dianna's death. As to her boys and family, my Thoughts and prayers will be with you this Sunday morning at church.

God is with you now. You no longer have to fight the paparazzi or the Royals. I hope God is also with your children. There will never be another like you. You will be sorely missed in the USA.

I am deeply hurt by the whole matter, especially with the press supposidly being at fault and all. I know that we all have to make a living somehow, but should it have to come at the expense of another human beings life? I give my sympathy to the Royal Family.
My thoughts are hard to put in words, our condolences to the UK for the loss of a beautiful Princess. To Prince Henry & Harry for the loss of a special Mother. She was a lovely lady and will never for forgotten by the people of the U.S.A.
I am deeply saddened by the death of Princess Diana. I still can't believe that this has happened. I keep expecting to hear that this is all a big mistake, but I know that it is not. This was a senseless death. The photographers that were chasing that car are guilty of murder and should be prosecuted for it.

They say that everything happens for a reason, but I cannot see the reason for this. Maybe now she will get the peace that she deserved in life. I would like to send my condolences to her family, particularly to Princes William and Harry. They have lost a really wonderful mother and the world has lost an extraordinary woman.

When I woke this morning at 9.30am, I could not believe the news I was hearing. My friends and I are deeply shocked by the tragic news. Diana will be sadly missed amoung the the charities she worked so hard for.

I know it is not much, but in my rehearsal this evening, wich is for HIV and AIDS research, I will be holding one minutes silence in respect of this wonderful women who had so much tto live for.

My wishes go to you Diana, where no one can no longer hurt you.

Somehow we all felt that we could call her by have given name because she was so much like someone we had all grown up with and loved. Saddness of this sort can never go away completely -- I hope her sons can go on with their lives and live the gentle, caring life she would have wanted them to share with her.
GMW/NEW JERSEY/USA
I observed Diana from afar - never to set eyes upon her in person. What she represents to me is bravery and courage in the face of incredible obstructions, injustice, misunderstanding and ignorance. This incredible woman is a martyr to the exploitive information age.

In contradiction to my reverence, however, is the guilt I share with the greedy papparazzi who ultimately took her from us. I was one of millions that the press fed. I was a collector of photographs and stories. I videotaped many hours of Diana. I watch them with admiration and, now, with sadness at the loss.

When my life is sad or I face conditions I do not think I can ever overcome. I do, genuinely, look to Diana as my inspiration for a belief that, ultimately, kindness, courage and heartfelt effort will always endure and see me through those times. I will miss her from afar - I only hope now that she knows how much she meant to me and how much I care.

It grieves me immensely to see what I had long ago predicted come to pass. A lovely, sweet and much beloved lady hounded, literally, to death by those whose only concern was thier pocketbook. Although I have never been a fan of the National Enquirer, I must applaud thier decision not to purchase the pictures offered to them, taken of the accident scene immediately after the crash and I join them in thier plea to the world press to refuse these pictures. Not only because of the circumstances under which they were taken but also out of respect for her children and family. My prayers and thoughts go to her sons. Prince William and Prince Henry, who, having faced the trauma of thier parents divorce, now must face the greatest devistation that a young person can face, the loss of a parent. My love goes out to them. William, Harry, don't be afraid to cry. There is not one person, anywhere, who would think less of you and if there were ever a person worth shedding tears over, it was your mum. The world would do well to learn from Diana's example. She carried herself with grace and dignity under the most difficult of circumstances. She was a true humanitarian with a heart of gold. I'm sorry that this is so long, but I want to leave you with a poem. I did not write it and do not know who did but I do not think that the author would mind my posting it as a tribute to our beloved Queen of Hearts.

I am appalled at the disgraceful way the French, or any other government allows the rampage of the "free press" to collect information on the private lives of popular people. This is the most traumatic event of all time. It will truly change the events of the world.

I do not follow any one personality and I do not care to know about their private lives unless it HARMS the events surrounding others. It is their private lives and if they wish to publicize it..they may.

The news media is to blame in general for this tragic incident. They promote with large amounts of monies to "dig up" trash for publication to the point that an honest reporter or photographer would be tainted.

Princess Diana was truly the Ambassador Of The World, and because of events of the media..now she's gone. She will missed.
